The Kochville Township Parks and Recreation Committee helps the township board establish goals and policies for recreational facilities and programs and oversees their implementation. The committee develops a five-year state-approved recreation plan that allows Kochville Township to apply for grants from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Kochville Township operates several facilities:
- Elmer Lange Memorial Park:
This five-acre park, located behind the Kochville Township offices at 5851 Mackinaw Road, offers a picnic area, pavilion, playground, and a ball field. It is directly connected to the Kochville Pathway.
- Krossroad’s Park and Rainbow’s End Playground:
The newest addition to Kochville Township’s recreational facilities, Krossroad’s Park is located ½ mile north of Tittabawassee Road on Fashion Square Boulevard. Visitors will find a picnic pavilion, restroom facilities, and access to the Kochville Pathway, as well as Rainbow’s End, the first universally accessible playground in the Tri-county area.
- Kochville Pathway:
The seven miles of this recreational pathway connect many areas of the township, including Krossroad’s Park and the business district, Saginaw Valley State University, and Elmer Lange Township Park.
